EducatorMatt earned a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from Penn State University where he also devoted many years of his life teaching acting, directing, Shakespeare and musical theatre performance in their prestigious School of Theatre. He has also taught acting for film, screenwriting and film production at the Los Angeles branch of New York Film Academy and spent several semesters as a guest artist/lecturer in the actor training program at the University of Utah and Bucknell University. His long experience teaching at college and graduate levels provides the inspiration for the Mini Grad School of Acting.

Matt spent his undergraduate years earning a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from the University of Michigan. He began his professional career performing in national tours, Off-Broadway and in regional theatres across the country including five seasons in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular dancing alongside the Rockettes! As a theatre director he has worked in New York City at The York Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Abingdon Theatre, American Theatre of Actors, The NAMT Festival and Radio City Music Hall. Regionally he has directed at The Fulton Theatre, The Walnut Street Theatre, The Theatre at Monmouth and Pennsylvania Centre Stage where he staged the world premiere of the musical Ordinary Days.

Matt is an award winning writer, director and producer and is currently developing multiple projects for film and television. His first feature film, The Pact, garnered awards and official selection in twenty-two festivals. You can catch his most recent feature, Face 2 Face, streaming on NETFLIX!
